WhatsApp is now bringing polls to group chats as well.WhatsApp had been testing a new poll feature for its messaging application. According to the latest feature of WhatsApp, Polls will facilitate group decision-making through voting. You can now ask your friends or family to decide where to go or what to eat through group polls. To use this feature, simply open WhatsApp and go to a group or an individual chat to start a poll. Now, if you’re using an Android device, click the “attachment” button, and if you’re using an iOS device, click the “+” icon. Find the Poll option now, then hit the button. After typing your question in the “Ask Question” section and including voting options, post it, and you’re done.

You can ask any question in your poll and there are up to 12 options to vote on, but not all of us will use more than 4 or 5 options. The hamburger button next to the voting options allows you to move them up and down. Unlike Telegram, WhatsApp does not have anonymous voting, at least for now. This means all votes are visible to everyone, so it won't be the same as choosing your next president.

When it comes to voting each user is free to choose several options. The user can also select only one option. There is no limit to a user's ability to change their choice, they can change the option they voted for at any time before the poll ends. Here's how the new polls feature for the WhatsApp messaging service works.

In related news, WhatsApp is also working on the ability to message yourself, like several other apps including Telegram and Discord. This will make it easier to share files between different devices or save something for later use. This feature is only available in WhatsApp Beta and it is not known when it will be rolled out in the stable version.
